The Forestry Advisory Committee provides input and guidance to Oklahoma Forestry Services on the plans, policies, priorities, and delivery of the forestry-related programs in the state, as well as promote an atmosphere of collaboration and partnership between individuals, forest industry, and state and federal agencies.

Meetings
Committee meeting dates are determined by the members; typically, they meet twice annually (in spring and fall).
Membership
The committee members and committee chair are designated by Oklahoma State Forester John Burwell. Categories of membership are established in federal statute and in guidelines from the USDA Forest Service. The State Forester may add additional persons or categories of representation as needed.
